Cover Reveal: My New Novel, The King-Killing Queen

Hi Everyone,
I hope you enjoyed The Tempered Steel of Antiquity Grey and The Undone Life of Jak Dreadth. Thank you again for supporting that Kickstarter and making it a success. It's been fun seeing the reviews come in and I already have the sequels planned.
But for today, I'm notifying all of you FIRST about my new book:
The King-Killing Queen is coming in 2023. Here's the big news. It will be published by Skybound Entertainment (The Walking Dead, Fear the Walking Dead, Invincible, Impact Winter, etc.) in partnership with Grim Oak Press. I'm really excited about the book and the deal, because it might open up a lot of doors -- especially with your help. The King-Killing Queen will be a trade hardcover as well as feature special editions in a Kickstarter coming in early 2023, to be delivered in Summer 2023. The wide release to Amazon, B&N, and all bookstores will be in October 2023.
There is also an 11,000-word prequel short story involved that will be adapted into a graphic novel by comic book writer Robert Napton (Dark Wraith of Shannara) and artist Nate Taylor (The Boy Who Loved the Moon by Patrick Rothfuss). The deal comes with an Amazon Studios first-look as well, which is a super long-shot but HEY, it's a shot, right?
It's been great fun working with Skybound these last two years and we have more planned in the future if this Kickstarter is a success. Rare Edition Has Arrived

Hi Mech Backers,
First, 98% of pledges have shipped from me. Yay! If you ordered regular hardcovers, S&N and/or S&L editions, they have left me. The digital rewards have also been emailed. That's the first good news.
Second, I just received my copies of the Rare Edition. While I am still awaiting the clamshell for these unique editions to ship them out, at least I have the books. Here is a photo:
When I receive in the clamshells, I will let you know! Then the Kickstarter will be complete. Thank you ALL for your patience. This has been fun and I'll be doing it -- albeit faster -- again.

S&N and S&L Editions Have Shipped

Hi Mech Backers,
Great news today. Over the weekend, I completed shipping the S&N and S&L editions of Antiquity Grey and Jak Dreadth. Those who have already received the books seem to like them. That makes me happy. USPS will pick up the remaining orders tomorrow since today is a holiday.
Later this week, I should receive the Rare Editions. Then I'm just waiting on the manufacturer to get me the clamshells -- and I'll ship out those books too!
In short, 98% of all pledges have been fulfilled. So close. So close! Thank you, Everyone, for your patience. This has been a harrowing last two years when it comes to printing and binding but I'm pleased you remained with me that long. I hope you enjoy my books. They are now your books. :)

Shipping Has Started & Will Stop For A Bit

Hi Mech Backers,
A quick update here. Last week, I managed to ship out the orders that contained the Signed & Lettered editions of The Tempered Steel of Antiquity Grey and The Undone Life of Jak Dreadth, along with any added merch. If those backers also purchased the Signed & Numbered editions of the same books, I shipped those as well.
Which leads us to this Monday. Today, I will begin shipping backer orders for Signed & Numbered books. I will do the same tomorrow. But sadly, I am leaving Wednesday for a short visit with relatives in Texas and then off to California to see my brother for the first time in almost 2 years. During that Cali visit, that's when I am meeting with Jonathan Maberry for his The Signed Page signing.
In short, I will return May 25th. I will then begin shipping again. My wife has promised to help me when we return, so hopefully that will speed things up. In short, I expect to have all copies gone by June 7th.
Apologies for this. Just really bad timing. But I thought it best to be clear and truthful.
